TODDS LEAP…

20 Mar

Finally its live….

Over the last few weeks I’ve been involved in a fantastic shoot for Todds Leap. The campaign centred around the corporate entertainment package and the aim of the shoot was to show suited business folk taking part in activities around the site. Over 3 sessions we covered 4×4, zipline, archery, clay pigeon, paintball and climbing. The weather was awful for 2 of the days so we really had to battle the elements. Luckily with my portable Profoto studio lighting I was able to set up a studio environment with a camouflage backdrop and with the help of some smoke grendades created some impactful portraits.

Check out the amazing artwork by Creative Media…

Over the next few days there will also be corporate literature being launched which includes a lot of the supporting images seen below. This was a fantastic project to be involved in and it shows the spirit of the staff at Todds Leap to create something out of the ordinary in their marketing. Really was a pleasure to be involved in this project and apart from being totally covered in mud on 2 occasions (still think theres muck in my ears) I can’t wait to work on further generic activity images.

NEW STUDIO…

24 Jan

2011 was the most amazing year for me with the chance to work with an amazing range of clients and agencies. The business has grown faster than I ever could have imagined. Over the course of the year I continually invested in the best range of studio lighting and light modifiers on the market – Profoto. The quality of light from these units is fantastic – crisp, short flash durations result in stunning images that just have that ‘pop’, from portrait to product. The lighting set-up I now have can be used both indoors and on location without need for power supplies so most commissions will benefit from this amazing lighting.

Building on this investment I have started 2012 as I finished last year, moving forward with a vision. I have now joined as a member of a fantastic studio space in Belfast meaning I can offer clients an amazing space for stills in very relaxing, fully kitted surroundings. Feel free to call in for a coffee and check the place out – just drop me a line.

I’ve also now moved into video production, able to offer clients breathtaking HD video shot on the DSLR bodies I also use for stills. I’ll add more on this over the coming months as I roll out a couple of projects for 2 fantastic NI companies.

Here’s a few sample stills shots in the studio over the last couple of weeks…

KRIS TURNBULL…

24 Jan

I’ve been working ongoing over the last year on various local and international projects for Kris Turnbull.

From stunning interiors to product photography of the most lavish curtain tie backs each job must be portrayed in the most luxurious fashion. Shooting with colour accuracy is crucial for commissions like this and using the X-Rite Colour Passport system ensures perfect results.

Most recently I have been working with the team on some stunning studio portraits for a forthcoming website which will be going live shortly – definitely worth checking out!

FG WILSON…

24 Jan

The manic run up to christmas continued with a commission from FG Wilson to photograph the Centre of Excellence for overseas exhibition panels.

Using Profoto lighting to its full capacity I had to light up the centre using a range of modifiers for added drama to the images.

I’ve been appointed as photographer for FG Wilson so hopefully a lot more work to be posted!

DES EWING…

24 Jan

I’ve been working with Des Ewing for over a year now on various properties including the fantastic ICEBERG developments.

Before christmas I was asked to shoot Des’ own house for a Dublin based publication and also a range of staff portraits for a new website. Des wanted to shoot both in his studio but also around the premises exterior to show the rustic, homely feel to the business.

Once the leaves reappear on the trees there are some more exciting properties coming up so keep checking the blog.

WESTVILLE HOTEL…

24 Jan

At the beginning of December I was contacted by the Westville Hotel in Enniskillen and asked to create a series of photographs promoting the hotel. Staying at the hotel over the course of a two day shoot we had quite an extensive list of areas to cover including weddings, reception, rooms, conferences, bar, exteriors, food photography, kitchen, cocktails and general people shots highlighting the range of clientele the hotel facilities can attract.

I really enjoyed the shoot (if only all clients put you up for the night and offered fantastic food!) and working with the models and hotel staff we produced a lovely set of images which I feel promotes the Westville in a fantastic light. Definitely worth a visit.
